Does Home Staging really work?

Many people wonder if the investment is worth it, and the answer is yes! A survey by the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation found that staged homes spent half the time on the market than non-staged homes and sold for more than 6% above the asking price.

A 2011 study by the Real Estate Staging Association completed several analyses of whether their staging efforts truly pay off for homewoners. The study showed, on average, staging effectively sells a home faster than a non-staged home. The study showed homes staged prior to listing sold in 42 days, which is 73% less time on the market. Our results over a five month period.

A home in Poquoson was staged after being on the market for 6 weeks and received 3 offers within 10 days after being staged.
Two homes redesigned by us before they were on the market received offers within 7 days of being on the market.
After 3 months of being on the market, a home in Newport News was staged and received an offer only 2 days after being staged.
All of these homes accepted offers and have closed.
